about us
Our goal and mission are to provide our customers with a higher quality product than they can find anywhere else and at more reasonable prices. Quality does NOT have to be unaffordable.
American Composites was founded in 2016 by Tom Streck, who for ten years led FLSmidth’s pneumatic conveying aftermarket and its compressor department. American Composites is an alliance between individuals who understand pneumatic conveying systems, and in particular pump and compressor operations, and those individuals with manufacturing expertise of carbon composite products. Our manufacturing partner has been in business since 1974 and has concentrated on thermoplastic (carbon) products since 1994. They are a leader in the industry and focus solely on custom constructions for the industrial market in a variety of industries.
The American Composites blade is 30% stronger than other carbon blades on the market, and 400% stronger than Kevlar/phenolic type woven blades.
Because of its unique requirements with regard to expansion and dimensional tolerance maintenance, the carbon blade is one of the more difficult carbon products to produce. American Composites spent over a year developing its proprietary carbon blade, and in the end, we have achieved a blade with greater flexural strength than any other blade on the market, including the OEM carbon blade. Why is flexural strength important? Because flexural strength is closely associated with wear resistance, and ultimately that is what you pay for when purchasing a set of blades.
our quality standards
American Composites believes in and practices a "Quality at the Source" philosophy to ensure all products and services meet or exceed our customer requirements at competitive prices. As individuals, we must always follow existing procedures and policies and assure we do it right the first time, every time. As a team, we must strive to wisely improve our products and processes for the future. As such, we maintain baseline qualitative requirements for all of our products, and assure that each part leaving our manufacturing facility meets our standards through regular product quality control testing.
